Annual Bessie Coleman Flyover

Under the Tent at Lincoln Cemetary – 12300 S. Kedzie Ave. Chgo

41st Annual Fly-Over Tribute to America’s Pioneer Colorful Women (APCW)

Continuing the tradition initiated by Cornelius Coffey and Willa Brown, the Chicago Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen continues to honor Bessie Coleman’s legacy with their annual fly-over of her grave-site at Lincoln Cemetery in Chicago. Although the flower drop portion of the tribute is now simulated with a balloon release, the next fly-over salute will occur on April 25th, 2020. Bring your families and come celebrate with the Tuskegee Airmen as we mark the 41st Annual Celebration of the accomplishments and contributions to aviation by these three pioneering female aviators.
